How to use eye drops safely

  • Wash your hands, tilt your head back and pull down the lower eyelid.
  • Put in the number of drops on the label without touching the tip to your eye, eyelashes or fingers.
  • Close your eye gently for a minute and press lightly on the inner corner.
  • Wait at least five minutes before using any other eye drop.
  • Remove contact lenses first unless the label says otherwise.
  • Do not share eye drops, and discard the bottle within the period stated after opening.

Stop using the drops and see a doctor if they cause pain, redness, swelling or blurred vision. Our guide to eye and oral care covers eye habits in more detail, including screen breaks.

How to check a genuine Jagat Pharma pack

  • The manufacturer's name and address, and a drug manufacturing licence number
  • A batch number, manufacturing date and expiry date printed (not handwritten) on the pack
  • An intact seal, cap or blister, and the MRP printed on the pack
  • The full composition and directions for use

If anything looks altered, smudged or missing, do not use the product. Our checklist on how to read an Ayurvedic medicine label explains each point.

Buying Jagat Pharma products retail or wholesale

You can order single packs, or packs of two and three at a lower price per unit, from our Jagat Pharma collection. Pharmacies, clinics and resellers can send a product list for wholesale rates; our wholesale buying guide explains how it works.

Our recommendation

Choose the Jagat Pharma product your doctor or Ayurvedic practitioner has named, check the pack details above, follow the label dose and buy sealed packs with a long expiry from a GST-registered seller.
